ABOUT

We are located on 5 beautiful acres in Gresham, Oregon just west of the Columbia River Gorge.  We started our small herd with two foundation does with fantastic milk lines (Castle Rock, Almar Acres, Blythmoor) and breed for high production, easy hand milking, and sweet, friendly personalities.

Kids are dam-raised and receive multiple hours of daily handling and attention resulting in an incredibly affectionate herd. All animals are fed organic alfalfa pellets and orchard grass with pregnant and milking does receiving a homemade grain mix of organic barley, oats, and black oil sunflower seed. All goats are on an herbal deworming protocol and we regularly run our own fecals to assure that we identify any issues before they become a larger problem.

What does Wabi Sabi mean?  Wabi Sabi is a Japanese term that can be roughly translated as a way of living that focuses on finding beauty in the imperfections of life while accepting the imperfect and incomplete nature of all things. For us, this concept perfectly captures the essence of a life lived close to the land and in harmony with the cycles of growth and decay, life and death.
